WATER DAMAGE          MOLD REMEDIATION          FIRE DAMAGE

Mold Remediation

Mold grows in areas of your home or business with excessive moisture, and the health effects can begin hours after mold spores are released into the air.

Contact SRS if you've experienced any type of water damage, even if it appears you were able to clean it thoroughly.

The only way to be confident about the moisture levels in your home is to test.

How does mold occur?

Mold can start with a pinhole leak. Mold refers to any suspected microbial growth, which grows where there's excessive moisture

in contact with materials such as wood, carpet, and even

porous materials such as leather.

Some triggers for mold growth include:

  • flooding events
  • window leaks
  • air conditioner leaks
  • broken HVAC or dehumidifiers
  • leaky roofs
  • foundation cracks
  • lack of insulation
  • insufficient ventilation
  • poor water drainage
  • sewer backup
  • vacant homes

Signs of Mold Problems

If you experience any of these issues, be proactive and

have your home or business tested:

  • flooding or water overflow events
  • any signs of water damage
  • atypical allergy or asthma flare-ups
  • sudden allergy or asthma attacks
  • itchy skin
  • persistent coughing
  • warped or swollen walls
  • peeling wallpaper
  • rotten smell
  • musty odors
  • condensation around the water heater
  • tile grout that's still dirty after cleaning

Another indicator can be new construction homes,

as they typically have less ventilation and are more prone

to areas that encourage mold growth.

How Mold Remediation Works

01

Testing

Based upon visual inspection and the damage that occurred, we can test surfaces in your home or business.

Based on our inspection, we'll provide an assessment on exposure, the origin, the affected areas, and the next steps to remediate, if necessary.

02

Removal

Removal of mold requires PPE to prevent our team from direct exposure during the removal process.

We'll create a containment area that others will need to avoid while the work is completed.

Any damaged materials will be removed from the structure and properly disposed of by our team.

03

Cleaning

Air filtration devices will be used as appropriate. Cleaning may include HEPA vacuuming, applying the appropriate anti-microbial sprays, and cleaning the HVAC system.

04

Final Steps

Once remediation is complete, we're here to help you through the next steps with your contractor on any repair or rebuilding.
